Google Images ändert Lizenzeinstellungen

Google Images Changes License Settings

In the future, it should be easier for users to view or get their own image licenses. It’s often not clear which licenses are suitable for which images and media, so the changes Google is making should simplify this process.

In addition, license information is now at the forefront. It will also show the terms for when users are allowed to use images for their own purposes. This is made possible by a new badge, which will always be displayed after publishers or creators have added the license information to their images. The badge contains a link that directs users to the licensing information.

The new update is intended to provide fair compensation and additional protection to content creators, showing Google’s continuing commitment to this field. This update also raises awareness of the rights of publishers and creators in general.

Another new filter for Google Images allows users to search for Creative Commons-only licenses, or for commercial licenses. This way, users can find out how they can acquire which license.
