Mobilgeddon 2 Google also rewards your website

Your website also excels in user-friendliness on mobile devices? A reason to be happy. Because as of May 2016, Google rewards mobile-friendly pages more than ever before.

The algorithm change is called Mobilegeddon 2 and is the continuation of Mobilegeddon, which appeared in April 2015. Google updates always cause discussion and turmoil in the online marketing space, but they also often offer many opportunities. In this case, mobile-friendly website operators and users gain a big advantage from the update: web users find even more relevant search results and web operators’ pages gain positioning.

The losers are clearly site operators who have not yet jumped on the mobile bandwagon. If they can’t withstand Google’s pressure, they will fall in the rankings and lose traffic.

Example of traffic loss:

For the second quarter of 2015, the Adobe Digital Index found that websites that were not sufficiently optimized for mobile lost about ten percent of their annual traffic.
Analytical findings

We are curious how Mobilegeddon will affect the search results. An exact date is not yet known at this time.

A tip from us: if you haven’t already done so, optimize your website for mobile devices. It is worth it!
