REAL-TIME OPTIMIZATION
Penguin now works in real time and has been implemented in the core algorithm thanks to Machine Learning. This means that search queries and websites are now evaluated in real time. Accordingly, evaluations and adjustments of URLs based on their backlink structure will be done in real time and, most importantly, silently.

Hummingbird (2013) and RankBrain (2015) have also already been integrated into the real-time core algorithm. In particular, RankBrain is now used in all search queries and is a very important ranking factor.

As a result of the update, Google ratings will no longer refer to the complete domain, but only to the specific target URL. This means that the entire domain will not be penalized immediately. According to Google, the new Penguin update now also affects spam. So, the ranking is adjusted based on sparsity signals instead of affecting the ranking of the entire website.
