The ‘Like’ or ‘Liken’ is a function that social network offer. The function was first introduced by Facebook and is now almost considered a kind of currency on social networks. With the ‘Like’ function, users of a social network can show that they like the content shared by other users. Liking on social networks has more or less the same meaning as an approving nod of the head in real life. Many social media platforms also offer a counterpart to the ‘Like’ function, the ‘Dislike’. However, Facebook does not have this function.
