SEA (search engine advertising) is a sub-term of search engine marketing. This means the paid use of advertisements within different search engines. In search engines like Google, Yandex, Baidu, Oath/Yahoo and Bing this is possible for a fee. In addition to advertising, keyword advertising and sponsored links are also part of SEA.
Is SEA a push medium or a pull medium?
SEA does not require a target group. The advertising contact comes about because consumers are looking for something and advertising is shown to them as a result. This is different for advertising via display, print, radio or TV. Here, market messages are sent to a selected target group or are produced in such a way that a specific target group is addressed.
